Bourbon Ball Cupcakes

Bourbon Ball Cupcakes

Almost any baking cup is great with these cupcakes inspired by tasty holiday candies.


What you need:

Reynolds® Baking Cups (Black Foil)
1 package (18.25 oz.) chocolate cake mix
1/4 cup bourbon whiskey, divided
2 tablespoons bourbon whiskey for frosting
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package (16 oz.) powdered sugar
1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
Optional: Walnut pieces for decoration

Instructions:

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. 

PLACE Reynolds Baking Cups in muffin pans; set aside. 

PREPARE cake mix following package directions for 24 cupcakes, adding 2 tablespoons bourbon to batter.  Spoon batter into baking cups.

BAKE 18 to 22 minutes.  Cool.

MIX 2 tablespoons bourbon with butter, milk and vanilla extract until blended.

ADD powdered sugar gradually until blended.

STIR in walnuts.

PIPE or spread frosting onto cupcakes.

TOP with a walnut pieces, if desired.

Caught without powdered sugar? You can make your own!  Put granulated sugar into blender and blend for one minute.
